TXSES Board Election

Instructions for 2022 Board of Director Candidates

The Texas Solar Energy Society is a 501(c)(3) organization focused on educating the Texas public on the importance of energy efficiency and clean, safe, locally harvested solar energy for homes and businesses. You can learn more about what we do here.

The TXSES Board consists of eight elected at-large members and a representative from each of our five chapters. This 2022 election will select four at-large positions with two-year terms. You must be a current TXSES member to run for the TXSES board. Board members are elected by the entire TXSES membership. The upcoming term is January 2022 to December 2023.

The Board meets a minimum of four times per year and meetings run 2 – 2.5 hours. Meetings are normally scheduled on a weekday evening. We endeavor to accommodate schedules. Board members from across the state meet virtually through zoom. TXSES also holds its annual virtual meeting at the beginning of each year. Expectations for board members can be found here.
