Join North Texas Renewable Energy Group for their March meeting with Matt McGuire of Dallas-based MW Logistics. Matt will speak about Driving Sustainability: The Business Case for Electric Yard Trucks. MW Logistics, which provides customized shipping services to clients, including Fortune 50 companies, is reducing emissions AND costs by electrifying distribution yard vehicles.
Sales Director Matt McGuire will discuss why and how they are they are replacing fleets of internal combustion engine (ICE) powered yard trucks with electric vehicles. Yard trucks, also known as yard goats, spotters, or hostlers, are specialized, highly maneuverable, and compact vehicles used in distribution centers and warehouses to move trailers and containers between loading docks and storage areas.
The meeting will begin at 10 AM on Saturday, March 14. This will be a hybrid meeting held in person at the Dallas College North Lake campus in Irving and virtually over Zoom. Today I’ll discuss how electrifying distribution yard operations with EV yard trucks is helping companies reduce emissions while delivering operational and cost benefits. I’ll also share how MW Logistics’ EV Solutions program is creating value across supply chains and transportation networks by helping companies deploy scalable electrification strategies that support both sustainability goals and operational efficiency.
