Industry Spotlight: Enphase Energy

In each edition of The Solar Report, we feature one of our highly regarded Platinum Business Members with an exclusive interview. This edition, TXSES Communications Director Tamara Kowalski reached out to new Platinum Business Members Enphase Energy and Ethan Moskowitz, Regional Sales Manager–South Central US to learn about the company’s history, mission, accomplishments, and impacts on customers.

What inspired you to join Enphase & what is its mission?

I got my start in the clean energy space nine years ago with an energy storage manufacturer. I was working in the craft beer industry at the time, but I felt like my day-to-day efforts weren’t making a positive impact on the world around me. Seven years ago, I was drawn to Enphase after recognizing that everyone I met who worked there was intelligent and driven while also being friendly and empathetic. Our mission is to back up our products’ industry leading warranties with the performance and support our installer partners and homeowners count on. I love working in clean energy because my daily efforts remove pollution from our air while providing grid-connected infrastructure that provides tremendous value to our customers.

Tells us about the company’s work & expertise.

At Enphase, we provide our residential and commercial customers with industry leading microinverters, energy storage systems, EV chargers, smart thermostats, and so much more. Our reputation is built on our ecosystem’s simplicity and quality, and we’re proud to provide a holistic solution that our installers can use to consistently grow their revenues without sacrificing performance or reputation. Our typical customer or client is a residential or commercial solar installer who values system longevity and is looking for a stable yet innovative technology company to back their fleet of systems. As a Regional Sales Manager, I feel confident knowing that we stand behind our products and will do the right thing for our customers long after their systems have been installed and operational.

What are you seeing in the Texas solar market right now?

The Texas solar market is in a transitional phase as the 25D residential tax credit has come and gone (for now). Our partners are navigating a challenging landscape, but both they and Enphase believe in the long-term health of the renewable energy industry. Data centers and electrification are not slowing down, leading to higher prices for power and greater grid instability. Today, the most important thing that Texas solar companies can do is continue to innovate while reducing costs and streamlining operations. TPO (Third-Party Owned) financing solutions will continue to propel sales and installs forward through 2027, and the winners will be those companies that can incorporate new technologies to find efficiencies and savings in their total cost stacks.

Why did you choose to become a TXSES Business Member?

We joined TXSES because every time I talk with Pete Parsons, it feels like I’ve had a double shot of espresso. I’m only partly kidding, of course. TXSES has invaluable connections across the Texas clean energy industry and is more driven to generate results than any other trade group we’ve come across. They are actively working to make solar more accessible and impactful for everyday Texans.

What’s next for Enphase in the coming year and what are you excited about for the future of solar in Texas?

We’ve got a busy 2026 filled with new product rollouts including our 480V three-phase commercial microinverter, bi-directional EV charger, fifth generation energy storage system, and so much more. The Texas market, especially the deregulated areas, is proving to be a fertile market for product innovation and distributed energy generation and storage. We’re excited to see our energy systems fitting into the shifting energy landscape.
