Austin Energy invites solar stakeholders to back-to-back stakeholder meetings on Wednesday, January 28, 2025 from 3-5pm.
Austin Energy is expanding their new Solar Standard Offer Program to include residential and small commercial installations. These stakeholder meetings will help to develop this expansion. The program is the first of it’s kind in the industry, with the initial stage allowing commercial customers to lease out their rooftops and/or parking lots for solar installations—at no cost to themselves—and to be compensated for the solar power generated. Read more about it on their website here. These benefits will be extended to residential and small commercial installations.
3:00 – 3:55pm – Residential Solar Standard Offer (RSSO) – Stakeholder Meeting VI
3:55 – 4:05pm – Break
4:05 – 5:00pm – Residential Solar Leasing – Stakeholder Meeting I
These meetings may be attended:
1) Via Microsoft Teams (LINK), or
2) In-person at Austin Energy Headquarters (4815 Mueller Blvd, Austin, TX 78723; Room #1119). Guest parking is available in the garage behind the Headquarters building.
Both meetings will share the same Microsoft Teams link (above). Therefore, you may attend these meetings without having to ‘leave’ one meeting and ‘join’ the next.
