SEG Solar is a U.S.-based solar module manufacturer with 10.6 GW of module manufacturing capacity. We are seeking an experienced Field Service 1 position to join our team at our headquarters in Cypress, Texas. This is office based with travel required as needed (in and out of state).
This is a full-time position supporting our engineering, sales, and warranty teams by helping diagnose, document, and resolve field issues at customer job sites.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot installation and performance issues at customer sites.
- Conduct site visits as needed to gather data and identify root causes.
- Work with the engineering team on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Support the sales team by providing technical input for RFQs and customer inquiries.
- Process and support warranty claims.
- Prepare clear, professional field reports with findings and recommendations.
- Represent SEG Solar professionally while working with customers, EPCs, and installers.
Qualifications:
- Experience in the solar industry with strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of ground-mount solar installations.
- Understanding of module installation best practices, torque specifications, and quality standards.
- Ability to identify installation issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable traveling to customer sites as required.
- Self-motivated, organized, and customer-focused.
